We offer pre-anesthetic testing that can be done the same day as your procedure, or you can schedule a technician appointment and have them done prior to your scheduled procedure.
We offer a complete blood cell count (CBC) and a blood chemical analysis. Blood work is a basic evaluation tool.
The CBC determines the number of red blood cells, the number and type of white blood cells, the number of platelets, the hemoglobin level, and the hematocrit. Platelets are clotting proteins and indicate how fast your pet’s blood can clot; slow clotting can be a serious problem.
A chemistry panel tests kidney and liver function, electrolyte levels, glucose level, and total protein level.
